In depth

Verdict

PANDY WELLS has only won twice over fences, both times on this track, including an eventful race over the trip last month. A 5lb rise doesn't look harsh and can gain victory number three. The Mumper has to be a major threat as he had the selection seven lengths behind when they finished 1-2 at Market Rasen in February and is only 4lb worse off. Basford Ben left a string of second places behind when battling to victory at Carlisle but a 6lb rise looks harsh while Ready Token hasn't been in the best of form, though he's back on his last winning mark. Silver Eagle was having just his third start over fences when attracting strong support at Chepstow and looks the type to do better.
