      Verdict

It may be too late to jump on the Brendan Powell big priced winner bandwagon but Sitting Duck should go well here along with Party Games, however we will side with the in form Shady Anne. This daughter of Derrylin is chasing a hat-trick following two smooth victories at Ludlow. She is steadily moving up the ratings but is progressing enough a warrant the vote here. Mr Powell had three big priced winner son Monday and Sitting Duck may be the best of his two runners here. He showed improved form to finish a twelve length fifth behind Wenceslas at Huntingdon last time and looks fairly treated for his handicap debut. Meanwhile Part Games comes into the argument on his easy Plumpton victory in November. Richard Guest's What's A Filly, winner of a modest contest at Hexham last time may prove best of the remainder, but Shady Anne is expected to give weight and a beating to these inferior opponents.
