Aleemdar has gone well fresh in the past and gone well over course and distance so is considered but it may be worth taking a chance with HATHAAL. Jim Best runs a shrewd operation and it looks significant that he has acquired the services of the up and coming conditional Harry Skelton to partner his ten year old. He had three starts over hurdles back in 2007 and made the frame on the last of them over two and a half miles at Fakenham. A certain amount has to be taken on trust but he looks worth chancing, particularly if the market speaks in his favour. Aleemdar is by no means out of this on his best form whilst Bernabeu comes into the race on the back of a fairly decent run; Mycenean Prince was another to find only one too good but he's more exposed than a number of these. Bundle Up is interesting for a new yard having attracted support in the past but she has a bit to prove as does High Life having failed to complete last time. San Antonio is another worthy of a mention in an open race but a chance is taken with Hathaal.
