In depth
Verdict
Wild Cane Ridge has an obvious chance and is taken to resume winning ways at the main expense of Cash Bonanza and Tynedale. The selection has shown progressive form over hurdles and lost no caste in defeat in a Grade 2 contest at Haydock last time. This looks an easier assignment for Len Lungo's gelding, who needs only to reproduce recent form to win this. Winning pointer Cash Bonanza made an encouraging start to his hurdling career when third to Overserved at Carlisle last month and should have learned from that experience. Newcastle bumper winner Diklers Rose makes his debut over hurdles today and should be suited by the testing conditions but is difficult to recommend given his lack of hurdling experience and of more interest may be the consistent Tynedale. Ayr winner Minster Fair is another to consider but Wild Cane Ridge looks different class to his rivals and is taken to give weight away all round.
