Verdict
Chain Of Beacons was winning for the first time over fences at Newcastle on Saturday in a race in which the hat-trick seeking Sky Full Of Stars unseated his rider at the second but Sandy Thomson’s charge has picked up a penalty. Roxyfet has had his chances lately in less-competitive affairs but Superior Command, representing Grand National-winning connections, would have claims if you ignored last month’s run at Musselburgh. TRUST THOMAS beat Vodka Wells at Hexham last May and is now 5lb lower in the weights - today’s contest represents a slight drop in class so he gets the nod.
