Auldthunder's only defeat in his last four came when tackling very heavy going for the only time at Wetherby and back in more suitable conditions will make a bold bid to defy an 8lb rise for his victory at Sedgefield. Carrighdhoun is back on the same mark as when successful at Haydock last March though he's been a bit disappointing in this sort of company this winter. Nakadam produced his best run since arriving from France when narrowly beaten over 3m3f at Ayr and should be winning soon while Tikkandemickey has dropped to a mark he should take advantage of in the not too distant future. MYSTEREE (NAP) didn't have much to do to win at Ayr and Wetherby but it was his excellent fourth in the Eider Chase at Newcastle that points to his chance here as he wasn't beaten far and probably have scope for further improvement.
