Verdict

Eborarry had been proving to be hard to win with until taking a handicap at Catterick in February and he struggled off the same mark as today when well held at Hexham earlier this month which he may do so again here in a contest taken to go to MY CONDOR, who gets the vote over Miss Pross. Tim Walford's mare is better than she showed at Aintree last time and she may be better judged on winning form at Towcester previously but she is inconsistent so cannot be backed with any confidence. Peter Beaumont's Moor Spirit gave no sign of encouragement on his return last month and of more interest may be Paul Webber's Star Shot, who never recovered from a bad mistake at the first fence at Aintree last time but he has every chance if his jumping holds up. Preference then is for Don McCain's My Condor, who had a confidence boosting run over hurdles at Bangor at the beginning of the month and he looks worth chancing back over fences today off a fair mark.
