Verdict
None of these arrive in particularly good form, though Red Giant came home in front in a novices’ handicap over 3m at Perth nine days ago which was subsequently voided. He’ll be bidding for compensation but COOPER’S FRIEND can’t get much lower in the weights and was going well at this time last year. He’s yet to win for Mike Smith but could put that right today if in the mood. Leanna Ban was in fair form in the spring but needs forgiving a shocking effort at Cartmel in July.
