Saint Freule was only a narrow winner at Hexham in November and returns 6lb higher. Ballynanty got no further than the first at Musselburgh when a hot favourite but will be fancied to gain compensation with a clear round here but VAMANOS’ novice form is working out well and he looks the one to beat now going handicapping in modest company, though Captain Kurt has run his best races here so far.
