Verdict

AL QEDAAFF can take the measure of Saveiro and Devil Water. Understandably, he was outclassed at Aintree in a Grade 1 event but he would be far worse off with these were this a handicap and as a four-year-old, he does have the additional benefit of receiving an additional 5lb from the rivals. Saveiro has become incredibly frustrating to follow. There have been chances to win easier maidens than this though long suffering backers will know this to their cost. Devil Water is proven on the surface though it remains to be seen as to whether this trip will be to his advantage. Foxes Delight is better known under the Point-to-Point code so the market is watched on a return to rules racing. King Penda ran a shocker last time out and it is to be hoped that he performs much better today. The remainder have shown very little aptitude indeed. Al Qedaaf is the selection though he is not one to be rowing in at short odds.
