Verdict

A difficult race to call given the two leading protagonists, DEFINITLY RED and Saint Xavier, are both engaged to run in the same race at Doncaster (3.35) tomorrow. The former is preferred if taking part having run his best race for some time when runner-up to Vintage Clouds in the Grade 2 Peter Marsh Chase at Haydock last month. A Grade 3 winner over fences in France, Saint Xavier has won a novice hurdle since joining Paul Nicholls and returns to chasing with every chance. Kauto Riko improved for a tongue-tie when second in the Peterborough Chase at Huntingdon but never figured on his latest outing while Seeyouatmidnight hasn’t raced since 2018 and the struggling Dimple has little chance at the weights.
