In depth
Verdict
Having gone up 21lbs since securing the first of a hat-trick of victories three starts ago Mister Chisum now looks to be the grip of the handicapper and, with Talarive also now seemingly held at the weights, the vote goes to Totally Scottish. Mary Reveley's gelding is an admirably consistent son of Mtoto and although 5lbs higher than when beaten by Celtic Vision at Kelso last month that was a much better race than this is. He is taken to go one better. Neither Mister Chisum nor Telarive can be easily discounted, especially the former but a bigger danger to the selection may be Richard Guest's Xaipete, who returns to hurdling on a fair mark after a couple of runs over fences. Sedgefield winner Teme Valley is another to consider along with Sunday Rain, who is back on a fair mark again.
