Verdict
Quarterstaff holds Interdit on running at Carlisle last month and should again have the measure of that rival but, off a 6lb higher mark, Brian Harding's mount mat struggle to beat Hallyards Gael. Len Lungo's gelding followed a smooth success at Carlisle last month with a walk over at the same venue and, off just a 9lb higher mark than when winning the time before, he looks a good bet to complete a hat-trick. Red Rampage is not the most consistent of performers but has claims if on a going day, while Stone Cold appears in the grip of the handicapper. Forever Noble looks out of his depth.
