        Verdict

        Our selection here is Motive, with Anatolian Queen and Charleston possibly proving best of the rest. The Sir Michael Stoute-trained selection is a son of Machiavellian out of a Nashwan mare that stayed well. Home reports have been reasonably encouraging and if the market backs this up then he could be worth a bet. Peter Paul Rubens is well-bred on American lines and could go well, hailing as he does from Paul Cole's yard, but Bailaora's form is reasonable at best but at least he has proven he acts on good to soft. Anatolian Queen is interesting in that she is well-related, so watch the betting for clues, a similar comment applying to John Gosden's Charleston. Devious Ayers has shown a modicum of promise and My Pension is not a forlorn hope on breeding but, once again, our vote goes to Motive.
