Verdict

The tough and consistent Bandari has been kept busy the campaign and can bring about his fifth victory of the season if his Sandown form with Nysean is to be used as a reliable guide. The presence of fellow multiple Group race winner Mamool does cloud the picture though, as he almost certainly needed the run when he was beaten at this level in France last month. The son of In The Wings is versatile regarding his best trip and, assuming that he does not suffer from the dreaded 'bounce factor', he should be involved in the shake up here. Alkaased also adds an intriguing dimension to the race as he steps up to this grade for the first time. Luca Cumani's charge has steadily improved over the last couple of seasons and, after his game defeat of Lonsdale winner First Charter, he has to be respected today. A form line through that rival does give him a fair bit to find with the selection though and he may be best watched this afternoon. This also applies to Jagger, who at least picks up ¿1,250 for just turning up. Therefore, Bandari is given a confident vote as he sets out on his preparation for the Champion Stakes next month and he can make a success of his belated first try at racing at Kempton Park.
