      Verdict

      This should provide some useful pointers for the future with several boasting fancy entries including Mostahdaf. The latter made an impressive debut at Newcastle while King Zain ended last year with an easy success at Lingfield. But EL DRAMA did little wrong when third to the progressive Apollo One in Listed company at Lingfield on last month’s reappearance and the runner-up has subsequently landed a Listed race. Roger Varian’s colt looks worth another chance on that form while recent course and distance winner Imperial Sands is preferred to Sergeant Tibbs of the remainder.

      Mostahdaf (IRE) 1-2fav (8-13) Chased leader, ridden to lead 2f out, pulled clear, impressive, won at Newcastle 7f stks (5) pol in Mar beating Ego Trip (8-8) by 4 1/2l, 13 ran.
