Zain Emperor opened his account with a cosy win at Yarmouth but is upped 7lb. Wimpole Hall won over 7f here last month but ran poorly at Newmarket last time off today’s higher mark. North Creek made a brave attempt at Lingfield back in April having won at the same track before that while the soft ground may have been an excuse for Generalship last time as he had gone close at Newbury on his penultimate start. ROCK STEADY was having his first start of the year when a close-up third at Windsor having ended last season with a win at Wolverhampton. He may prove good enough in this with any further progress.
