Lingfield winner Lightning Charlie was still beaten five lengths when runner-up in this grade back at the same track. UNDER SIEGE makes more appeal as he drops down in class today and was beaten less than a length off today’s mark at Chelmsford earlier. Desert Strike is never easily written off at this level though hard to catch right while though Dutch Golden Age dead-heated for first over 7f here at the start of the year he has not raced since January.
