Verdict

Lingfield winner Lightning Charlie was still beaten five lengths when runner-up in this grade back at the same track. UNDER SIEGE makes more appeal as he drops down in class today and was beaten less than a length off today’s mark at Chelmsford earlier. Desert Strike is never easily written off at this level though hard to catch right while though Dutch Golden Age dead-heated for first over 7f here at the start of the year he has not raced since January. Dominium has failed to figure on Turf recently but was narrowly beaten in third the last time he raced over track and trip.
