Verdict
This is a moderate maiden and will take little winning. Taggerty is a long standing maiden and has been beaten in selling company, but having said that she is capable of running into a place in this. However, the one to be with is Pintle, who shaped with plenty of promise behind Maanar at Leicester last month. John Spearing's filly has a 70 rated rival two-lengths away in third that day and even if she doesn't improve on that effort, that would still be more than good enough here. She has nothing to fear from Ormolu, who was tailed off in that race. There doesn't appear to be much hope for Diaphanous at this level, but That's Enough comes right into the argument on his second to Puma over this trip at Windsor back in June. Calendar Girl is interesting as she comes from the same family as French 1000 Guineas winner Ta-Rib, as well as Stewards Cup winner Green Ruby. Any market move in her favour must be noted, but Pintle comes into this fit and well and unless Calandar Girl is above average, she can get off the mark.
