In depth
Verdict
This looks an above average maiden with some top trainers represented and we will give a narrow vote to Lucarno, with Dream Of Fortune and Central Force two newcomers to note. John Gosden's colt was put in his place by Diamond Tycoon on his Newbury debut, but was clear second best. That winner ran a blinder in the 2000 Guineas and with improvement expected Lucarno looks the best of the experienced runners. Jeremy Noseda trains Dream Of Fortune a well bred son of Danehill Dancer, and Ed Dunlop is responsible for Central Force, an expensive daughter of Pivotal. The market should give some clues as to their relative chances. The once raced Cape Hawk showed plenty of promise and is another to consider for the places, however Lucarno does appear to have the best recent form on show and he gets our vote.
