Not many of these arrive in decent form but Redgrave ran well again at Chester last time having scored over track and trip before that. LA MAQUINA was less than a length behind on that occasion and, with plenty of scope for further progress and William Buick taking over the reins, he gets the nod. Dark Side Dream got his head back in front here last month and is only 2lb higher. He’s preferred to Parnassian, thereabouts over 6f recently, but the rest make less appeal with the likes of Character Witness and Gentlemen returning from lay-offs.
