Verdict
Without a win so far this year, Elector is dropped back down in trip after placing over 1m3f here while Global Conqueror’s winning run came to an end off today’s mark at Sandown. Piece Of History has found life tough in handicaps having won his first couple of outings and another Godolphin runner in AUXERRE is preferred. The latter defied a penalty in novice company at Chelmsford last time when beating a subsequent winner and there looks more to come from Charlie Appleby’s charge now handicapping. War Glory remains in good form but is 6lb higher than when scoring over track and trip last month.
