    Verdict

Sir Ox shrugged off a rise in the weights after scoring at Lingfield to win over track and trip a week ago. But he carries 6lb extra and is upped in class today and the novice winner GOLD BERE is preferred. The latter duly obliged when sent off favourite at Lingfield on his first start since August and further progress is expected now handicapping. Annecy went close in novice company over 7f here in December while Rich Approach is another upped in distance having won over 7f at Newcastle. My Dear Friend shares ownership with Fox Kasper and makes most appeal of the remainder on a recent second at the track.
