Verdict
With the exception of My Lilli, who looks outclassed the other three are the ones to concentrate on. Richard Hannon saddles half the runners in this and Pinkerton looks his number one. He failed miserably on his last outing as a juvenile when he was all at sea on the testing ground at Yarmouth. He is better judged on his close-up Doncaster third to Mahanim and this weeks Fielden Stakes winner Magistretti. Due Respect is from the same family as Guineas winner Tirol, also trained by Hannon. He was a bit keen in his races as a juvenile and unless he has learnt to settle over the winter, Jimmy Fortune may have a job getting him to relax in this small field. However, the one to be with is the good-looking Rainwashed Gold, who always promised to make up into a better three-year-old, than a juvenile. Amanda Perrett's colt is from the same family as the stables high-class Tillerman and while he will probably never reach the heights achieved by the latter, there are plenty of prizes to be won with him.
