In depth

Verdict

MODUN made a very impressive debut at Folkestone over ten furlongs and will be expected to take all the beating on his handicap bow. He's a half-brother to Patkai and Saptapadi so will surely need further in time and there has to be a concern that this may prove to be too sharp for him and the handicapper has hardly taken any chances with his mark of 79 given that the Folkestone third was rated just 65 and has been beaten since. Rowan Tiger has each-way claims following a sound performance whilst Spensley looked to have plenty more in the locker when accounting for a subsequent dual winner so may still be well handicapped from a 6lb higher mark and is the chief threat although Alfonso The Wise, Argaum and Straits Of Hormuz are also worth considering.
