Verdict
Not a race to get heavily involved in and we will side with If By Chance to make a winning return to five furlongs, with Snow Wolf and Prime Recreation the ones to chase him home. The booking of Darryll Holland for the selection is a plus, as he should give the gelding the positive ride he will need on his first start over the minimum trip for two years. He has mainly been campaigned over six, but he likes to be up with the pace and his style of running suggests that he should not be unduly inconvenienced. He is a genuine sort who can make all here. Snow Wolf is an unexposed sort who has just his fourth career start here. A close second in similar conditions at Nottingham in October, he is likely to be straight enough to go well on his seasonal debut. Of the others, Prime Recreation showed a glimmer of ability when third, beaten a length at Nottingham the other day and seems better on turf than all weather. Paul Felgate sends him out again quickly and he can make the frame once more, but for the winner we look to If By Chance.
