Verdict
Captain Miller put in a marvellous effort at York last week after a long lay-off and he can gain compensation here, with Ocean Avenue and Danakil to fill the frame in a race that is not particularly competitive. The selection is well regarded by trainer Nicky Henderson, who does very well with the few he runs on the level and who did a magnificent job in having him ready to run so well when runner-up at York after being off for well over two years. He gets this trip well, handles any ground and his trainer knows all about having winners here, so he is our confident selection. Ocean Avenue returns from a long break after being off the track since a 1m 6f win here in August. Just 1lb higher here, he is also effective over this trip, but does tend to need a run and so he is just overlooked. Of the remainder, Danakil will appreciate this faster ground and was a staying on second to Flying Spirit over this trip at Brighton last time. Off the same mark he is certainly capable of being involved but may again have to settle for a place and for the winner we will look no further than Captain Miller to reward Nicky Henderson's skill and patience.
