In depth

Verdict

Lawmaking has won a couple of lower grade handicaps and been raised 8lb for last month’s success at Newcastle. Hakeem is upped 4lb for winning over 7f at Newmarket, though is still improving and Honey Man landed a novices' race at Chelmsford in good style last time and makes his handicap debut along with PIECE OF HISTORY. The latter is unbeaten in novice company, having shrugged off a penalty to score at Chelmsford recently, and there should be more to come from the Godolphin colt today. Medieval has a shout in this grade and is preferred to Gossiping and Knight Owl.
