Sunny Spells needs a market check and support would be significant as it would for La Polka but we'll take a chance with the veteran COLD TURKEY. The selection wasn't beaten far over course and distance in April 2009 and could be ready to strike after two runs over significantly shorter trips since the turn of the year. He's been dropped by 4lbs since his latest outing which leaves him looking attractively weighted and he's capable of going close. Sunny Spells latest two runs have been at Southwell but he won over fourteen furlongs at Great Leighs so should handle this track and he should be competitive from his current perch. La Polka is unexposed after just five career starts and, although she has plenty to prove, it's interesting that she's been kept in training and she has the scope to win a race of this nature. Colourful Move and Purely By Chance are others with claims in a race that's as competitive as the numbers suggest but we're going with Cold Turkey.
