In depth

Verdict

Plenty of course winners including the ultra-consistent Pat Coyne, a winner and placed seven times in eleven starts over fences. He found 3m2f stretching his stamina at Down Royal and this is more his trip. FUNKY DADY has been competing at a higher level than this and though 8lb higher than his latest success last summer can get back to winning ways. Fest Deiz ran his best race so far over fences here last month where he was in the lead at this trip while Turbo has won around here and will appreciate quicker ground more than most. Quantum Realm's second on his handicap debut over fences here last month puts him in the picture while the complexion of the race would change if either of the reserves, Filon D'Oudairies or especially Presenting Point, got a run.
