In depth

Verdict

A very nice prize and a tight handicap but BALLYOISIN is running so well on ground that suits that a hat-trick looks on the cards and he can repeat last year's victory. His latest successes have come over further including at Grade 3 level on this track and as he's only seven there should be more to come. Devils Bride, runner-up a year ago, hasn't been in that kind of form and may be waiting for Galway as he fell at the last when in contention in the Plate last year. Bel Ami De Sivola has some smart form to his credit and isn't badly treated though would probably need easier ground conditions over this trip. Azzuri is 3-7 over fences and enters the fray after several good runs on the Flat so he looks a threat with his low weight. Our Dougal will have conditions to his liking and goes well around here so he's another to consider in receipt of two stone from the selection.
