Verdict

ALLURE OF ILLUSION represents Willie Mullins and has the pedigree to be useful in this sphere as his dam scored over 1m6f. He may be good enough to make a winning start against opposition that will mainly come into their own over jumps. They include Maddoxtown, a good second here before a moderate effort at Galway, Charming Blue, who flopped at Wexford after a promising debut at Tipperary, and Great Oak, who was totally unfancied on her opening run at Wexford but defied her big odds with a decent run behind Battling Boru. Best Think Twice is another nicely-bred type - the first foal of a winning bumper horse who should know his job.
