Verdict
Capulette caught the eye in a similar race at Newmarket and compensation awaits at the expense of Clann A Cougar and Eagles View. The selection finished second to Meelup in a similar contest a couple of days ago and looks head and shoulders above this bunch off a mark of 80. Long standing maiden Eagles View is dropped in class for the first time. Seven seems to be something of a half-way house between six and a mile and it will be interesting to see how the market reacts. Clann A Cougar may be the more pertinent danger. Ian Wood's team are in good form at the moment and this horse did finish fourth in a decent handicap at Sandown Park a couple of runs ago. Convex was a decent two-year-old but recent starts have not been too much to write home about. The remainder look to have plenty to do on official figures. Having considered all the options; we will stick with the proven form of Capulette and forecast another winner for the shrewd Jarvis stable.
