Verdict

A number of the usual suspects in play and PEARLY STAR is taken to see them off with Tilly Shilling and Nigwell Forbees worthy of inclusion upon our shortlist. The selection burnt plenty of fingers last time out when reaching no further than the first flight of hurdles. We are prepared to forgive him that and look toward some of the previous form on the board. Tilly Shilling has taken on some decent opposition in novice company when trained by Charles Egerton. Cheekpieces are tried in addition to a tonguestrap. Nigwell Forbees showed improvement for the application of such instruments. He is still a maiden though will welcome the drop in grade. Oscar Owen has largely disappointed though seems to prefer a thorough test in gluepot conditions. Amjad is a regular in plating company and even the trainer has previously admitted as to having no idea as to what the horse will do when he hits the racecourse. Itcanbedoneagain has won previously under the National Hunt code albeit on much better ground than what he will experience here. Pearly Star is the pick in a race which makes very limited betting appeal.
