Verdict

This doesn't look as strong as the first division and with none of those to have run looking anything special, this should concern the two Michael Stoute newcomers Relaxed and Pure Grain, with the latter getting a narrow vote. This Polish Precedent filly is quite a late foal and is a half-sister to the top-class middle-distance filly Pure Grain. The only concern is that she is quite stoutly bred and will clearly be a much better filly next year as she steps up in trip. Relaxed should be more forward than most having been foaled in January and this Royal Academy filly hails from the same family as the top-class American horse Slew O'Gold. She may be the one to take advantage if Whole Grain falls short. Portrait Of A Lady showed next to nothing on her debut and she can only get better, while Desert Daisy, although filling the runner-up spot twice, has achieved little in doing so. Flying Adored, a half-sister to mile winner Bright Green will be more at home over this trip and has place claims, as does Thirteen Tricks, who showed enough on her debut to be of interest here. However, Sir Michael Stoute has a 22% strike rate with his juveniles and looks to hold the key here, with Whole Grain just getting the nod over her stablemate.
