    Verdict

Vindication is selected ahead of Snow Bunting, with Torquemada and Greenwood two others with claims of a sort. Today's feature race on the Leicester card is fairly hard to sort out as not one of the 12 runners has been in winning form of late. However, Vindication showed signs that his turn is near when going down by a short-head to Landucci at Brighton just over three weeks ago. He is now over a stone lower in the weights than last year, and with conditions in his favour, can go one better. Snow Bunting was successful in an apprentice handicap over the course and distance last October but has generally struggled with his current mark, while Torquemada has been placed quite a few times over this trip and is surely worth a try over a mile before too long. Greenwood last won two years ago and is hard to fancy strongly, and Master Robbie is not well in with the selection on past form. Dandy Nichols would like to see Aperitif's mark go down no doubt, and the other sprint maestro Milton Bradley has not got the best out of Blue Tomato yet. So, on recent form, we have to go with Vindication.
