In depth
Verdict
The draw has been kind to Polar Impact, who has hit form at the right time to get the vote over One Way Ticket and Never Without Me, who have also run well of late and are worth considering as likely types to fill the frame. Bronx Bomber also has claims if he can transfer his all weather form to this surface and will benefit from the assistance of one of the strongest, lightweight jockeys on the current scene in Jimmy Quinn. A Teen is another that is worth a mention as he has a habit of going close in races of this type when he is fully wound up. However, like a number of the rest, those days are only known to himself and he will always be a risky proposition for win only purposes. One Way Ticket has also had numerous chances this season and arguably should have won more races than he actually has. He does look weighted up to his best though and there has to be a suspicion that he will again find one too good. Which we hope will be Polar Impact, who having won off a similar mark in the past, will not have to over perform to justify his position at the top of the racecard. The ground is also not an issue with the son of Polar Falcon, who now looks to have acclimatised well after his spell of racing over in Spain.
