In depth

Verdict

It’s difficult to evaluate what Kinsman achieved in winning a novice event at Wolverhampton at the end of last year but he should be capable of better this year now handicapping. Raatea was possibly unlucky at Newmarket after scoring at Kempton and looks a threat to all but KING RAGNAR may well have won at HQ last time had he not been hampered at the start. He could have done without a 4lb rise and the application of cheekpieces is a worry but he has more options now he’s shown he stays 7f. Sermon has gone close twice over this trip at Haydock and is now tried in a visor.
