In depth
Verdict
This looks like quite a competitive seller and Davids Girl is hardly a confident choice as many can be given a chance. Looking at the field. This is more Chubbes trip than the 10 furlongs he ran over last time and maybe he will fare better today in cheekpieces. Dr Fox made eyecatching headway over six furlongs last time and could well fare better today. Emperor Cat has chances based on his Musselburgh win from a mark of 54 last summer. If he can translate his all-weather form to Turf, Jaolins has a chance, a similar comment applying to Coco Reef. Marksgold is interesting from the Cole and Quinn team, while David Barron has booked Kevin Darley for the lightly-raced Ragazzi. Davids Girl made eyecatching late headway at Salisbury last time on only her second try at today's trip, and, for us, that form stands up to inspection in the context of this race. Willjojo has bits of form that might make her interesting to some, and Zonnerbeke could improve for the application of blinkers. It's a very tricky puzzle of a race to solve and maybe Davids Girl can provide the solution.
