Verdict

The three in-form runners - Coral Shores, Summer Lodge and CAMERA SHY - could dominate proceedings with preference for Kevin Morgan's charge. Ross Atkinson's claim negates the penalty that Coral Shores has to carry for her victory at Warwick and this tough filly should be on the premises once more but she doesn't have a lot of scope from her current perch. Summer Lodge's win at Ripon was his first on turf in seventeen attempts so, although he won well and appears to have improved since being fitted with cheekpieces, it may be worth taking the chance that he'll fail to build on that easy ground success. Camera Shy escapes a penalty having won an apprentice handicap under today's pilot so is well treated as he steps up in trip. He showed a good attitude at Yarmouth and the trip shouldn't present him with any problems and he's put forwards in the hope that he can build on the form of his latest start. Support for the ex-Irish Silver Waters on his second start for this yard would put a different complexion on the race but he was beaten a long way at Windsor whilst blinkers will need to work the oracle for Into The Light. Channel Crossing won over course and distance last July but was well held in a claimer here last time whilst Picky appears to have it all to do on his return to racing on the level against some in-form rivals; of whom, we prefer Camera Shy.
