In depth

Verdict

Mehendi is better than he was able to show last time but we will side with FEATHERWEIGHT ahead of Larkham and Clerk's Choice. Barry Hills' charge has a new rating of 76 following her maiden win at Windsor last time. She has some good placed form to her name, including a three length third to Midday in September and she might be leniently treated. Hatta Diamond let down favourite backers last time and now has a bit to prove, comments that also apply to Sawab and Mehendi. Larkham has a 2lb higher mark today after a Wolverhampton maiden win on his reappearance, whilst Clerk's Choice is winless in seven but his jockey went close on him last time out. This is a tricky handicap for punters but the feeling is that Featherweight can oblige.
