In depth
Verdict
Shermeen made a very promising debut and can step up on that effort to beat Martian Glow and Fancy Day. Jamie Osborne's filly showed plenty of early dash in that Bath contest, before lack of fitness told in the final furlong. She will improve greatly from that run and will put her experience to good use. Madam Moschata is the only other runner in the line up to have raced and she showed very little on her debut and so we look to the newcomers for the dangers. Fancy Day is trained by Barry Hills and this daughter of Zafonic is related to numerous winners including the smart Sweet Emotion. Meanwhile Michael Jarvis runs Martian Glow is a daughter of Fasiliyev who cost 42 thousand guineas as a yearling. The market will of course be invaluable here, but without that information we have to side with Shermeen.
