In depth

Verdict

This does not look to be the strongest of races and the vote goes to Reedsman, who showed enough at Fakenham last time to suggest that a race of this nature would be within his compass; Richard Guest's gelding is preferred to Northern Flash and Mystic Glen. The last mentioned has shown ability in similar contests of late and should again be thereabouts but could do with being dropped a couple of pounds. James Hetheron's Qualitair Pleasure looks to have plenty of weight for what he has achieved so far and of more interest may be Jamorin Dancer, who has slipped to an attractive mark. Lucinda Russell's Neven has claims if back to his best but a bigger threat is likely to come from Northern Flash, who ran well here over fences last time and now reverts to hurdles. The vote though goes to Reedsman, who represents the in-form yard of Richard Guest and needs only to reproduce his last time out running at Fakenham to win this poor contest.
