Verdict
Richard Guest has his string in good form right now and is taken to land another prize here with Sconced, who is preferred to Ding Dong Belle and Agnese. The last mentioned is trained by George Moore and the Wetherby bumper winner may do better now that she runs in a handicap. Keith Reveley's Weldman has given little sign of encouragement so far but receives plenty of weight from his rivals, while Loi de Martiale is less exposed than most of these and Malcolm Jefferson's gelding is probably better than his previous efforts over hurdles would suggest. Sue Smith's Ding Dong Belle lacks a recent run but has claims on the pick of last season's form, if he is fit enough, but the vote has to go to Sconced. Richard Guest's gelding has shown enough in recent outings to suggest that a race of this nature would be within his compass and is taken to give his in-form handler another winner.
