Verdict

All The King's Men, a Listed winner at Navan last season, has performed at that level in his two runs this campaign without showing any sign of progress and takes a step-up in trip, which doesn't look certain to suit. Basic Law has produced two battling performances to get up close home over 7f and a mile at Gowran though the winner and third from the latter event have been beaten subsequently. Asdaa won a Fairyhouse maiden last July and didn't reappear until April when well beaten at Cork though he didn't get the run of the race and is expected to do better. WESTERN DAWN returned after a break to land what has turned out to be a decent maiden at Naas in March and though the subsequent absence is a concern he looks capable of better so gets the vote. Zorro Cass won a maiden over this trip in France on soft ground a year ago and found 1m2f too far on his reappearance at Roscommon.
