Verdict

Capri is comfortably the top-rated here but the 2017 Irish Derby and Doncaster St Leger winner hasn't looked anywhere near his best since scrambling home in a Naas Group 3 on his reappearance last April. He looked a shadow of his former self when only fifth behind shock winner Master Of Reality, who is penalised here, over this trip in the Group 3 Vintage Crop Stakes at Navan and will need to improve massively to reverse the form. Twilight Payment, a close second to Order Of St George in this last year, wasn't beaten far in the Vintage Crop and will make a bold bid but Dermot Weld has a good record in this and FALCON EIGHT can defy his inexperience. An easy winner of his first two starts, he didn't appreciate stepping up to 2m in a Group 3 at Naas in September and looks the type to win some good races over this sort of trip this season.
