Verdict

VALIANT FORCE was thought good enough to make his debut in a Curragh Listed race where he looked certain to win when clear inside the final furlong but was caught close home by His Majesty. The winner's yard is represented by Gaspare Gabrielli, who is related to the Group 1 winner Fancy Blue and six other winners, and Latin, by No Nay Never out of a 1m4f winner. The Kingman colt Mariner is also owned by Coolmore though Johnny Murtagh also runs the €100,000 colt Thor's Hammer. Akkadian Emperor hails from a yard than can do little wrong at present and Instant Appeal is related to four winners.
