LAGENOD (NAP) gained a deserved first success on his 17th start over hurdles at Fairyhouse earlier this month when he won with a ton in hand. He has 9lb more to carry which makes this slightly more difficult as Kayf Thou, who ran well on his comeback over fences at that same meeting, can race from 10lb lower back over timber. The four-year-old Magic Sea finished around seven lengths behind the selection last time but should get closer at the revised weights though he's yet to finish in the first three in 11 starts over timber. Northern Emperor gained his first success over hurdles on his 25th start at Ballinrobe in August but couldn't handle a 7lb rise on a return visit.
