Verdict
Peter Harris runs three in this. Flight Of Esteem has plenty of stamina on his dam's side of his pedigree, showed plenty of promise on his debut and certainly has place claims. He and Kernel Dowery ran in different divisions of the same maiden here six days ago but the former looks to hold the stronger chance. Night Warrior also showed plenty of promise on his debut and clearly comes into the reckoning. He was third in the maiden where Kernel Dowery was fifth and the placings should be confirmed. While No Grouse showed some promise here on his debut (and the step up to a mile should suit), it was in a claimer. Smoking Barrels stayed on well over seven furlongs on his last run (at this track), while Spuradich was well beaten on his only run in Italy. Treculiar showed plenty of promise too, here on his debut and comes in to the reckoning as the trip should suit. Dance In The Sun, fifth in a seven-furlong Leicester maiden that has worked out well on his debut, must also be considered, particularly as there is dirt success on his dam's side. Lightsabre is related to a Grade 1 winner in the USA, while Rambler is clearly the weaker of the two Gosden runners and was well behind Night Warrior and Kernel Dowery on his last run. It is an interesting race but the TEAMtalk selection goes to Night Warrior, but watch the market for both Treculiar and Dance In The Sun.
