Verdict
Lydia Pearce's Cowboys And Angels is on a hat-trick of victories following wins here and at Wolverhampton but, having been off since July, may just need the outing to put him right. Paul Cole's Siena Star goes well round here but looks a trifle high in the weights at present, as do the Brooke Sanders-trained Superchief and Style Dancer from Tim Easterby's stable. The unexposed Alchemist Master is open to further improvement than most and could go close if able to reproduce the form that saw him three-quarters of a length second to Lygeton Lad over course and distance last month. The TEAMtalk selection though is the topweight George Stubbs. Nick Littmoden's four-year-old was collared late on by Bathwick Bruce here in October and although disappointing at Wolverhampton last time, that may have been down to the surface, he has solid claims back on the Polytrack.
